In addition to 403 types of decorations with different shapes, 190 types of decorative ruled lines and 12 types of swatches can be used to create any combination.
We received high-resolution data from a person engaged in digital archiving at a library of an art university somewhere in France, and this was the reason for this production. I finished it by hand from the original data and outlined it with Adobe Illustrator.
All the decorative type in the sample book of "SPÉCIMEN DE LA NOUVELLE FONDERIE DE JULES DIDOT L'AÎNÉ, BOULEVARD D'ENFER, N ° 4, À PARIS. 1842" designed by JULES DIDOT and published in 1842. I made an excerpt.

形の違う403種類の装飾に加えて、190種類の装飾罫線、12種類の組み見本を利用して自由に組み合わせて制作出来ます。
フランスの何処かの美術大学の図書館でデジタルアーカイブに従事している方から高解像度のデータをいただきまして、その経緯から今回の制作となりました。元のデータから手描きで仕上げ、アドビイラストレーターでアウトライン化の作業を行いました。
JULES DIDOTが設計し、1842年に発行された「SPÉCIMEN DE LA NOUVELLE FONDERIE DE JULES DIDOT L'AÎNÉ, BOULEVARD D'ENFER, N°4, À PARIS. 1842」の見本帳に収められた装飾活字を全て抜粋し制作しました。
